BASF – New hi-tech plant in Bahrain
BASF is one of the leading chemical companies in the world and opened a multi dollar facility based at Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP) in addition to the existing manufacturing agreement for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The full day event ended with a gala night at the legendary Gulf Hotel in Bahrain proudly to present the project and production plant for customer specific antioxidant blend (CSB), the largest facility of its kind worldwide. Invited guests of economic and politics celebrate together with the BASF members the new facility as part of a strong antioxidants production network comprising Asia, Europe and America.

International entertainment on stage reflect such network and entertained the guest of the event during the official launch of BASF in Bahrain in addition to the speakers and the host of the event.
“The investment in this new site demonstrates our steadfast commitment to support growing industries in the Middle East, while at the same time setting standards with regard to quality, safety and employee training.” said Michael Heinz, the member of the BASF board of executive directors at the launch ceremony. Also Kamal bin Ahmed, Minister of Transportation and the acting chief executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board, was invited on stage and said: “We are delighted to welcome BASF, a leading international company, to Bahrain. Large manufacturing firms like these are playing an increasingly important role in our economy and will be a significant part of our plan to create sustainable long term economic growth and jobs.”
